It seems illogical that we are even talking about this considering that we’re a casual dating site but casual sex can be addictive.
The Casual Debate
You read a lot online about the pros and cons of casual sex. It’s been happening for centuries but it’s only now that we can finally have reasonable conversations about it. We wholeheartedly support the casual sex movement. In today’s modern society people are busy and rush around a lot. The time and effort involved in cultivating a relationship can be massive. Casual sex doesn’t require the same amount of time. However it can lead to people getting hurt if not treated correctly.
“I first posted a casual ad online when I was finding myself getting hornier and hornier. I knew I didn’t want a boyfriend but I didn’t know how to get sex without coming off as a slut. So I was surprised by the number of responses I got from the ad. At first I was cautious and asked for some advice from a few friends. They told me that I should be careful but if that’s what I really wanted to do then I should go for it.
The first guy I hooked up with I was a bit shy with but the sex was better than any I’d had so far. I remember dressing up and being a bit fidgety when he came to the door but he immediately kissed me and when I felt his boner on my thigh I just let myself fall into the moment. The next week I slept with 3 strangers on the same day. I used protection each time but the sex was so good I really enjoyed myself.
Each week I was sleeping with more and more guys. After a few months I started to notice my grades at Uni were dropping. I had become so obsessed with shagging guy after guy with no consequence that I had unintentionally let it take over other areas of my life. I couldn’t stop.
Eventually after I spoke to my friends about it I withdrew my ad and began to concentrate more on the other areas in my life.
I’m not saying casual sex is bad – I love it! But if you’re not careful you can let it end up becoming something that just dominates your entire life. Everything in moderation I think.”

Knowing when enough is enough
Lucy’s story highlights something that affects us all. Like anything that’s fun we can overindulge. The challenge becomes knowing when you’ve had enough and when not to gorge yourself.
