A number of studies have been conducted into whether or not weather affects our mood and the overall consensus is a resounding ‘yes it does!’ Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and a number of other ailments regularly affect people whenever the weather turns sour. One of the worst side effects is the impact bad weather can have on your sex life. So with that in mind, here are a few winter exercise tips that should keep your libido nice and high whilst we trudge through what looks to be several months of rain, sleet and snow in the approach to Christmas.
Low Libido Cures
1. Exercise
It’s been well known for years that exercise increases both the amount of endorphins released into the body as well as providing improved cardio vascular activity. Both of these are useful when having sex as they will increase your stamina and staying power…not to mention your pleasure levels.
2. Healthy Diet
Listed under ‘Duh!’ eating well goes a long way to maintaining a healthy and active libido. Stuffing your face full of fatty foods like burgers and curry might sound really nice on paper, but will go nowhere for you when trying to get it on in the bedroom. Ditch the crisps and try eating more fish, vegetables and fruit. You’ll be amazed how high your sex life flies.
3. Sex
This sounds totally illogical – how can having sex improve your libido? It’s actually highly logical when you think about it. The more sex you have, the better and healthier your libido will be. So if you’re feeling blue with all the rain flying about, try calling up a fuck buddy or two and arranging some increased sex sessions for the both of you. It will do the world of good during the wet weather.
4. Turf the TV out of the Bedroom
If you have a television in the bedroom do yourself a favour – turf it out. The bedroom is for sex and sleep, nothing else. Studies have shown that people who have a TV in their bedroom have approximately 55% less sex then those that don’t. Do yourself and your libido a favour – ditch the idiot box.
5. Don’t use the Pill
As a woman, if you use the pill you should be aware that it suppresses testosterone levels in both sexes greatly reducing the desire to have sex. Whilst it is a valuable contraceptive, it will ultimately kill your libido and even once you’ve stopped taking it the effects can last for up to 4 years after. Worse, the pill also alters a woman’s attraction to the opposite sex making men feel more like platonic friends rather than potential lovers. There are other forms of contraception ladies so don't be afraid to pull the plug on the pill.
6. Low to no Alcohol
Alcohol; the cause of and solution to many of life’s problems…so goes the saying. Unfortunately an excess of booze will ultimately kill your sex drive. Pour it down the drain and focus your energies on having sex instead.
Happy fucking!
