According to Rebecca Holman at The Telegraph and about a dozen other dating and sex blogger professionals, New Year’s Eve is the one time of the year where women (not just men) are out to see in the New Year preferably by waking up next to a really hot guy they met at a party the night before. Rebecca even made up a list for women to follow if they want to get it on with a guy they meet at a party.
So why does New Year make us all that little bit hornier?
1. A chance to start as you mean to go on
No one wants to be Billy-No-Mates on New Year’s Eve. And with so much pressure to at least have a kiss with someone at the stroke of midnight, sex is on everyone’s minds. By resolving to have more sex in the new year, opens more people up to having sex on New Year’s Eve.
2. All those annoying couples
Even worse then being asked ‘are you seeing anyone at the moment?’ is seeing all your friends having more sex then you. New Years is a time where women and men both want to be in the same boat as all those people who are having regular sex
3. The Christmas Blues
When you’ve spent Christmas in the company of your family then the chances of even a whisper of sex during that period are about as likely as seeing a pig fly. New Years Eve changes all that and ramps up the sexual tension to almost devastating proportions.
4. Alcohol
Sad but true, the mass consumption of booze on New Year’s Eve makes people more likely to seek out and have sex. Inhibitions lower with every glass. Whilst we’re not against this in any way shape or form, we would advise you to temper your consumption as you don’t want to end up fucking the wrong person and regret it in the morning.
5. An excuse to fuck
Not that the human race actually needs an excuse to do this. Ever. But New Year’s Eve does provide plenty of people a perfect excuse to fall upon in their pursuit of coital action. If you can’t beat them…join them!
Happy New Year!
