Lights, Camera, Action....Sex!

Filming yourself having sex can be an amazing experience…but only if you’re both comfortable with doing it.

An article published in The Telegraph back in May this year highlighted some interesting facts and suggestions on how a couple – whether in a casual relationship or not – should approach filming themselves having sex. The article brought up a lot of discussion in the office over whether or not it is a good idea.

Unsurprisingly the outcome was split equally: some people liked doing it, others thought it was a bad idea. So if you were thinking about trying it with a fuck buddy, we think it’s a good idea you know what to expect and how to protect yourselves in case one or both of you don’t like it.

For your filming pleasure
We’re all secretly voyeuristic and enjoy watching each other all the time. This is even truer of sex – why do you think the pornography industry is so huge? But when it comes to filming yourself having sense a whole new set of sensations come bubbling to the surface.

Exposed
Filming can make you feel exposed especially when having sex. The positives to this are that it can add an extreme level of excitement to the encounter. There can be negatives though as some people like to keep their sexual escapades private, so knowing they are being filmed can make them feel insecure and can actually be detrimental to sex. Just be aware of this.

Do you watch it back?
Doing something is a lot different to watching yourself doing something. Filming yourself having sex can feel great at the time but watching it back can do one of two things; it might make you feel even hornier or it might make you go ‘Eurghhh!’ If you don’t like watching the video back then it could put you off filming in the future. Our advice is to try it out and see how you feel first.

Fear of Identification
Discretion is a watchword with many fuck buddies so if you have a worry that you might be identified in a video, don’t film yourself having sex. If however you trust your fuck buddy and they you, don’t be afraid to try the camera out.

Trust Concerns
Trust plays a big part when it comes to filming yourself having sex. If you are at all concerned that your fuck buddy might share the videos that you have filmed without your consent, don’t allow yourself to be filmed. If you are at all worried then you should probably ask yourself if you’re with the right kind of fuck buddy. Our advice is if in doubt, don’t do it.

Legality
Not many people think about this, but whilst it is not illegal to film yourselves, nor to share the content (if both parties consent) there are still some sexual acts that can get you into trouble. Consensual sexual violence and some acts of BDSM can be classified under UK law as “Extreme Porn”. If you are at all unsure over to what you’re doing is illegal, then we recommend not filming yourself.

Pros and Cons
There are an equal amount of benefits and negatives to filming yourselves having sex. As long as you are aware of both sides and still feel comfortable enough to try it or continue doing it, go nuts! Just be sure that all participating parties are consensual and that you trust one another.

The camera can add a whole new pleasure element to yours sexcapades. We just want you to be aware of all the potential effects.

Be safe and happy fucking!
